RFaction Base Specifications

This isn’t your garden variety desk chair modified & bolted to rough steel and tagged an S.I.M. seat! No, this is serious hardware with craftsmanship applied. Think of the chair as any other chair when it’s not connected to the pedals, the frame is stronger and provides greater strength over the cheap plastic chair that is probably right under your bottom as you read.

When you are not using the seat to race, it can easily be converted into a normal desk chair to use for writing bills, emailing, and doing whatever sorts of things you do at your desk. If you want the comfort a real car seat gives in terms of support, you could purchase threaded casters on our RF-Options Page to replace the levelers furnished and roll around as you would a standard desk chair as this product was designed for a lifetime of use.

The Optional seat adjusts just like a car seat in which you can move the seat forward/back or vertically up and down or tilting based on your preferences and height. It also contains the stability of a car seat limiting movement from side to side. And the seat actually feels as if you are sitting in a car seat versus a desk chair that makes it structurally appropriate as well as comfortable enough to sit for hours on end.

I began incorporating manufacturing techniques and precision engineering from my 20 years of Machining & Fabricating experience into the RFaction Base and I’ve outlined some of the specifications that follow:

  • The frame is built from 1 x 1 ASTM A500 Steel Tubing.
    .
  • I designed a dual aluminum-plate swivel (1/4 inch each) with a ball bearing assembly. Swivels are produced on State-Of-The-Art CNC Machining Centers for precision alignment.

  • The Base is Manufactured utilizing US built welding equipment with craftsmanship by an AWS certified welder.

  • All tubing ends have been mitered and seam-welded so there are no exposed ends.

  • Fasteners used are made from 18-8 stainless steel.

  • Polished stainless steel tubing is used to connect the pedals to the seat.

  • The setup includes a detent shot-pin so the chair doesn’t pivot, twist, or roll back under force.

  • The chair feet are 2 inches in diameter with 2 inches of thread for vertical adjustment.

  • The Frame can be used either left hand or right hand operational, but must specify at time of ordering

Are you looking for something that is unique and stylish that doesn't say Home Depot or Office Max? Are you looking for a competitive edge that places you above the rest? Are your surroundings tight and minimal? Then the RFaction Base is for you!

Also, When the time comes and you need a break from the Sim Racing World you WILL NOT have or be stuck with some monstrosity taking up half a room until you are ready to race competitively again. But with the RFaction base you continue on with your life and chair until you are ready to race again. A Win Win situation.
